Learning Labs

Programs for Children, Teens, Adults, and Educators

These fun, interactive programs are for people who love animals and want to make a difference.

More and more people are saving species and making a difference by protecting bees and planting pollinator gardens, eliminating the use of plastic bags to help save sea turtles, eliminating foods that contain palm oil in order to help save Orangutans, and so much more.

At Awesome Animal Adventures, we believe in hands-on learning. What better way to teach than to show students what we’re talking about. Let them witness something first hand, and they’ll learn much faster. Their new knowledge will stick with them longer too. Give them the opportunity to touch or feel something, and it’s forever impressed in their minds.

That’s why we created our Learning Labs. We offer online and in-person workshops, seminars, webinars, and courses to help kids learn about animals and how important they are in our lives. We show them instead of just talking to them.

The programs are delivered both on line and in person at schools, homeschooling groups, libraries, zoos, aquariums, wildlife conservation centers, and more.

You can request C S Wurzberger and Abby the parrot come to your school or perhaps a scout meeting or some other kind of gathering, and you’ll all enjoy some real time experience learning about various animals and their habitats, and how people can help preserve them.

They’ll discuss endangered species and learn what each of us can do to protect them from disappearing as the dodo bird did in 1681. When The Green Up Girl® first learned about the dodo bird as a young girl, she pledged she was not going to let that happen to any other animal if she had anything to say about it! This can happen to your kids too.

You might experience things like what happened in Dallas, TX.The students were asked to pick an animal they wanted to report on. After doing some reading, a young girl by the name of Sally fell in love with the sea turtles and decided to choose them for her report.

Now Sally was a very shy, quiet young lady. He mother was a little apprehensive about having her get up and speak to a group of children and adults. But...low and behold, when it was Sally’s turn, she got up in front of the room, and her voice boomed out with confidence as she told the story of the endangered sea turtles. With sincere passion, she came alive with enthusiasm and vibrancy that her mother had never seen in her own child. Both Mom and the teacher were ecstatic to see this little girl mature in front of their eyes. This assignment had a major effect on Sally.

There are hundreds of stories like this one. These labs not only teach the children about the animals, but they learn how to do thorough research, enhance their presentation skills, and improve their math skills as they calculate different items about the animals. They actually learn how to use math in the real world and not just from a book.

If meeting in person is not feasible, then how about an online session. She’s done workshops via Skype, FaceTime, or other technology available to her audiences. You can schedule a one-hour class or a full day program. Whatever’s your pleasure. The programs are theme-oriented, so pick a theme you’d like her to use. These programs are so impactful; you won’t want to just sit back and watch, you’ll be right in there learning alongside the kids.

Lead a Project to Save an Animal You Love.Like Sally who encourages her family and friends to stop using plastic shopping bags because they blow in the ocean and sea turtles think they are jelly fish, eat them and suffocate. Best of all kids can create their own Personal Species Protection Plan™.

Education for Educators. Providing educators with the tools they need to empower the Next Generation to become social entrepreneurs who lead powerful projects that preserve and protect our planet, its people, and the animals.
